Anelia Stefanovova was born in 1964 in Kazanlak, Bulgaria. In 1986 she graduated from Plovdiv's Higher Musical Pedagogical Institute (now Academy of Music and Dance Art) with a specialty in Music Pedagogy. There she was taught Choir Direction in the class of the acclaimed conductor Krickor Tsetinian and the Orchestra conducting in the class of Ivan Spassov.
Immediately after her graduation, she was appointed as a music teacher at the "Antim I" Unified Polytechnic School of Kazanlak, where she taught for three years at the three levels of education - Primary School, High School and Lyceum.
In 1988, on its own initiative, the first Choir sections were set up in the same school with compulsory courses: choir teaching, music theory, solo and piano, which were recognized by the Ministry of Education of Bulgaria and continue to function until today.She also directed the Children's Choir "Iskra" in Kazanlak.
In 1991 she completed one-year postgraduate specialization in Music Pedagogy at the Academy of Music and Dance Art-Plovdiv, and made a dissertation on: Characteristics of choral sections as a model of music education .
Since 1994 he has been living and working in Greece. In the same year she takes over the Children's Chorus "Armonia" of Preveza, winning a series of awards from International Choral Music Contests (Dobrich, Bulgaria, Niustelle of Switzerland, Arezzo, Italy, Nyiregyhaza, Hungary, Athens, Greece) .
In addition to participating in festivals and competitions, she collaborated with various musical ensembles and orchestras in Greece and abroad for the production of great choir works ("Stabat Mater" - G.B. Pergolesi, "Missa brevis" - Leo Delibes, "Hymn of Freedom" - N. Mantzarou, Carmina Burana - Carl Orff, "Once upon a time in Paxos" and "Didymanes" by Dimitra Trypani) .
Along with her work with the Children's Choir "Armonia", Preveza, she founded in the following order: Children's Choir of the Municipality of Anaktori, the Children's Choir of the "Konstantinos Katsaris" Foundation under the auspices of the Metropolis of Ioannina, the Children's Choir of the Municipality of Parga, Boy's Choir "Armonia" of Preveza, the Youth Choir "Armonia" of Preveza , with whom she participated in various festivals and competitions in Greece and abroad.
Since 1994 she has been an active contributor to choral conferences, seminars and workshops on children's choirs (Athens, Patras, Lefkada, Volos, Paxos music festival) .
In 2016 she completed a postgraduate course at the Ionian University in the Department of Children's School Choir.
Currently she is a doctoral candidate at the Ionian University of Corfu, Department of Children's and Youth Choir.
